7. Angiosperm Fruit

The Angiosperm fruits can be classified in 3 categories:

 Simple fruits derive from a single ovary made of one or many carpels,

 Multiple fruits derive from more than one ovary,

 Complex fruits for which non reproductive parts of the plant participate to the fruit settling.

Dry or fleshy simple fruit: follicle, capsule, achene, berry or drupe
